The exhibition 'Sobre Nós — 60 anos de Resistência Democrática no Brasil' (About Us — 60 years of Democratic Resistance in Brazil) was organized to celebrate the 15 years of the Vladimir Herzog Institute. The exhibition is a remembrance of civil resistance, social activism and fight for human rights from 1964 to the present day.

The institute invited Bijari to create a visual identity for the exhibition, as well as the expography's art direction, aiming to showcase the importance of popular action in building a strong and healthy democracy.

Visual Identity

Reflecting on the importance of Vladimir Herzog, a journalist assassinated by the military ditactorship in Brazil, the project uses photojournalism as a mean to tell the story of civil resistance during this period.
The logo features a blank screen which, with the movement of a camera capturing a photo, reveals images that tell us about our past and, with this, help us reflect who we are now from what we have experienced.

Expography

The exhibition materializes the logo's screen, featuring most of the images on wood boards resting on shelves.
