Text Deforming

Focused on exploring the interaction between Blender's Geometry Nodes and the user, the project combines typography with three different algorithms: zoom, cutting and differential growth.

The cutting and zoom algorithms were inspired by André Burnier's work.

To achieve each effect, every sketch was divided into two elements, the text and a control object.
This control object can be an empty, which can be moved and scaled to change de area of effect, or a curve, which can be drawn in the viewport to guide the cut direction.
Because every sketch was running in realtime in the viewport, there's some visible aliasing.
